The bamboo bridge

On the dry season when the mekong has a low level, the villagers of the islands used to build an amazing and useful bamboo bridge to cross the Mekong. This bridge which is 800 meters long can support bicycle and motorbike, but also horse, cars and trucks. It is built every year in November and destroyed in June by the elevation of the water level. You have to take this bridge to go to the Mekong Bamboo Hut and have a great view.

But the bamboo bridge will be no longer. It ends is programmed in 2 years, when the concrete bridge will be ended.
